Pleurotus Ostreatus Culture – POHA-100 Strain

The Pleurotus Ostreatus Culture – POHA-100 is a wild strain. Our founder discovered it while foraging in the Fall of 2015.

Culture Type: Slant

Unconventional compared to other strains. The fruitbody has a velvet external texture. The internal texture is dense like P. Eryngii.

POHA-100 produces large, abundant yields on a wide variety of substrates. It is also very fast and aggressive when colonizing substrates. This makes this particular strain effective in projects like:

  • Gourmet Mushroom Cultivation.
  • Bioremediation With Fungi.

Recommended Grain for Spawn:

  • Rye
  • Wheat
  • Oat
  • Brown Rice

Recommended Substrates For Fruiting:

  • Supplemented Sawdust
  • Straw (Wheat, Barley, Oat, Rye, Etc.)
  • Hardwood Logs (Maple, Oak, Alder, Elm, Birch, Etc.)
  • Cotton Seed Hulls
